FOTD -- August 25, 2009 (No Rating) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Check the philofractal list for a longer discussion. Today's image came about when 0.3 part of Z^5 was combined with Z^2 before C was added. The indescribable parent fractal is little more than a jumble of Mandeloid parts, some critical, some not. Today's image is located near a larger minibrot in an area with East Valley tendencies in one of the more critical appearing parts of its parent. The image has East Valley hints, though no true elephants or pop-eyes are apparent. I named the image "Deep-Blue Blues" because I kind of got carried away with the blues in the image. Since I lost control of the coloring, I could give the image no rating, though a rating around 6.5 would be pretty close. The calculation time of 1-1/2 minutes will cause no one any inconvenience.
