<sammi> Re: Please include your pars and frms in the body
i did a copy paste job and the file is here; it is very pretty :) sammi
Thank you, Sammi, for re-posting David Fisher's .par and .frm files as part of the body of your post. I was able to see and use the files. It a very interesting fractal. The formula is also interesting in that it alters the normal Newton's method fractal by the value of 'pixel' at each pixel location.
he [Hal Lane] has some type of email setting that doesn't allow attachments. sammi
I don't know what is going on. I have always received, and continue to receive, attachments. Its just attachments from newsgroups like [Fractint] that appear to be affected. Perhaps it is the fact that I receive digests of posts instead of individual posts that keeps me from getting the attachments. To confound matters even more, Maryetta Campbell who uses earthlink.net for email -- as I do -- says:
they [the attachments] came thru when i got davids email posting, and they i enjoyed seeing the images.
So, it would seem that I have *not* somehow turned off the ability to receive any attachments in my Outlook email program -- and that earthlink.net does not uniformly delete attachments from mailman.xmission.com. I'm still in the dark as to what is causing the loss of these attachments. Again, note that I receive a digest of [Fractint]. I always assumed that getting no attachments was a limitation of the digest format. - Hal Lane ######################### # hallane@earthlink.net # ######################### -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
