I've done some investigations of Albrecht's:
...new interesting image today [2017/4/22], created with the Oracle VirtualXP under Win10.
The color specification of Albrecht's included parm file somehow picked up an extra character and could not be read by Fractint, since it had become malformed. I downloaded his image and wrote out its parameter file with Fractint's <b> command to get the correct color info.
Albrecht's parms and formula, along with the parms of my variations are below my signature.
Please view images full size.
Albrecht's image: http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/Albrecht/2017/ML219-X3.GIF
and my version of it (ML219-x3_FixColors), match -- except for slightly different choices of our images' sizes in pixels. www.emarketingiseasy.com/Albrecht/2017/A1704223.gif
He also recommends:
...check image ML219-x7, an additional entry (zoom) There are some discoveries waiting!
My rendering of ML219-x7 matches his version: http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/Albrecht/2017/A1704227.gif
I was immediately drawn to the center of the above image. What's there? This is: http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/Albrecht/2017/A1704228.gif
But the empty core of the above image was a bit unsatisfying, so I tried rotating the color map to see if anything would show up. Indeed, something does! And Albrecht's nice greens that seem to go well with the purples both reappear -- along with a slightly under-iterated minibrot: http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/Albrecht/2017/A1704229.gif
I liked the depth in the green "pillars" of the above image so I zoomed in to emphasize them, and anti-aliased (X5) this image: http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/Albrecht/2017/A170422A.jpg I tried increasing the maximum iteration count to further define the minibrot, but I discovered that the color map is sensitive to the non-zero LogMap value of this image, which changed the image radically.
