Fractal of the ? -- test
Fractal enthusiasts: This is a test to see if I am still subscribed to the list. I might be resurrecting the FOTD as the FOT? in the near future. Glad to see the list has not died in my absence. Jim M.
Hi Jim, Welcome back. We all grow older. For those who don't know: Paul N. Lee is no longer with us. He has left this world for a better one. (I hope). I'm very pleased to hear that, Jim. - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## -----Original Message----- From: Fractint [mailto:fractint-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Jim Muth Sent: Sunday, February 21, 2016 10:32 AM To: fractint@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Fractint] Fractal of the ? -- test Fractal enthusiasts: This is a test to see if I am still subscribed to the list. I am very sorry to hear that Paul passed away. He contributed a lot to the FractInt community over many years. It is good to hear from Jim again. I look forward to some new FOT fractals. -- Mike Frazier www.fracton.org
Ho, hum. Same old, same old Jim Muth. This is a duplicate of something I read back in May of 2015—just another teaser? Hope not—it sure would be nice to see the old ------ back! Just the other day I was wandering the deserts of Fractint, wondering what had happened to those I used to follow, like— Lee H. Skinner, Bill Jemison, Linda Allison, SylvieGallet, MikeFrazier, Jim Muth, Morgan L. Owen and others. Just a hint of Muth seems to resurrect Fractint wraiths. If Muth comes back, who else might reappear? John W. On 21 February 2016 at 07:31, Jim Muth <jimmuth@earthlink.net> wrote:

And Mike Frazier, I'd love to see a Linux version of Fracton.
I am afraid this is way beyond anything I could ever hope to accomplish. I originally wrote Fracton so I could run FractInt files on the Mac. I must have spent thousands of hours on it by now. It has so many things which are Mac centric that it would be almost as hard to convert it to Linux as it would be to just start from scratch. Running FractInt in DOSBox is a much more practical solution. -- Mike Frazier www.fracton.org

Bummer in South Park.
