FOTD -- December 09, 2010 (Rating 7) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: In today's image we take a trip to the northwest ring of the parent fractal of 2 days ago, where we check deep into the convergence on the southwest side of the ring. The scene we find there is rather harmless. I named it "The Galactic Halo" even though the actual galactic halo is made up of globular clusters instead of fractal rings. (But then, could globular clusters be merely a different aspect of fractal rings.) The rating of a 7 is close to average. The rating might have been a half-point higher if the colors did not remind me of stuffed olives, the most disgusting food I ever tried to eat. The calculation time of under three minutes should bring fidgety impatience to no one.
