I did some more exploring in the Challenger_Fractal. I zoomed into the green area at the tip of the arm near the top of the image. It repeated all the features of the original before finally adding an oval with copies of the 8 arm structure of the original. The fractal was much deeper than I expected with the minibrot eventually appearing at a magnification of 1.8e+189. A shallower zoom showing satellites of the 8 armed structure is shown in the following image: mag = 1.2e+166 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33642054/image/cfa166_800_2.jpg The center and magnification coordinate description for the image is: center-mag=-0.174987976372330362505315412880856608\ 73308706813150940739022160997776415279220633903858\ 03553270432026252145276865646184788985041474826487\ 5230662472716573493883670530889874615869682882e1/0\ .3711275390023365538060136900393279237395216587161\ 80513365112109254521643684694156126346928237111515\ 21680662782872650131060679148775047292959860454283\ 889742855395669755029050195056087e-14/1.2121212272\ 72727e+166/1/-112.5/0 maxiter=20000 -- Mike Frazier www.fracton.org
