Just Joe six-pack with a passion for fractals. My name is David Michael Fisher. No wallpaper to speak of, if qualifications are necessary. Born in 1944 (June) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon reaching the age of eighteen, with prospects for a good job looking dim because of the draft, I enlisted in the US Army in October of 1962. I remained therein until August 1983, thereafter partially adjusting to life with civilians. (As much as that is possible, anyway.) Went on social security in July 2006 at age sixty-two. Might as well take the money while it's still there.
I use the handle sunfish because mbh's first name is Sun. (That's the way it's spelled, but the pronunciation is actually with a long "u" with the sound as in "soon" or " sune") Everybody, western honkies like me, call her as it's spelled so I picked it up as my handle. The "fish" part should be obvious.
It is my intention to post regularly, hopefully at least once a week, some of my graphics that I have rendered in fractint. Of course all plans go up in smoke when they meet reality, but I have the time, so I will attempt to meet the schedule. It is my thought to submit a .par with the .frm attached. I also hope to publish my original .map files for those who have an interest, probably a few at a time so people will come back. There will be comments from time to time, occasionally, about the post, but sometimes about other things which interest, irritate, or just plain piss me off. Warning: No LSD (liberal socialist democrat), no PC (pinko commie), no empty "feel good", "whacko" stuff from my keyboard. If it makes you think and grow up, fine......join the adults. If it makes you angry, good....better you than me.
Well, this is the beginning........who knows where the end is? I hope what I am attempting will be of benefit to anyone who renders fractals, needs .maps, or just generally appreciates art.
