Thats a nice fractal Jim, thanks for posting it. The coloring is excellent as well.

For such a deep fractal the number of arms stays reasonable until the end. I zoomed in all the way to the minibrot at a magnification of 1.1e+107. The minibrot is hard to display in a small image. To give a fair representation of the deepest zoom it would have to be rendered at a huge size with lots of anti-aliasing. At maximum depth it draws about 3 times slower than the original. Here is an image of the minibrot:

mag = 1.1e+107 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33642054/image/cf107_640_2.jpg

Here are a few interesting shallower zooms:

mag = 1.3e+100 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33642054/image/cf100b_640_2.jpg

mag = 2.1e+101 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33642054/image/cf101_640_2.jpg

There was also interesting stuff at mag = 7.7e+97, 3.1e+98, 2.7e+99, and 8.9e+104.

Here is the par file for the deepest zoom. It has an accurate center positon that will work for the other magnifications. I had to increase the max iterations but nothing else should be changed.
