Does NY1 if it is possible to exist a real 3D fractal? I am not talking about a 3D projection of a 2D image, like you can do with fractint and other programs, or simply rotating the Mandelbrot set about the x-axis to create a "cylinder" type.

I mean a real 3D in the math.

The Mandelbrot plots along the X and Y axis (real and imaginary) in a 2D plane. But what about the 3rd axis (which would be perpendicular to the screen, coming out at you and projecting behind)? And it would be plotted in a cube, ie, "3-space".

I can do some coding but my math skills are not up to this, maybe the Russ man has some ideas.
