With all this tawk of Jim Muth's recently posted "fractal stuff" image and the minibrots within it, I have been investigating it further and it seems that the 4 irrational number parameters, aside from their intrinsic significance, do not really effect things too much. Changing them slightly has little effect (at first anyway, remember the prime axiom of chaos theory).

So I kept them as is and backed out to the parent fractal, which looks like a drunken distorted Mandelbrot and not really impressive at all. However, zooming in leads to some interesting FX.

I am currently rendering a zoom sequence from the parent backed-out aways into the "stuff" image and continuing on to one of Lee's minibrots. Should be done soon and I will post it. It looks really cool as the images render s.l.o.w.l.y. and in progression over time on a rescued e-machine 400 in my living room as I pass the time watching old Sci-Fi viddies ...
