sorry, I was unable to run most of the new machines running now Windows-XP with my old DOS 6.22 bootable floppy-disk (1.44MB) without being detected and so on.. What do you mean "detected by vendors"?
I made the tests as following: Around X-mas 1999 I selected some PC-shops, and in the shops I put a bootable floppy-disk into the floppy.. switch off/on the PC now booting DOS 6.22. On the Diskette is a batch-file running a fractal and saving the result (a pretty fast running 'type=mandel' fractal) to disk A:\.. When some vendors detected my activities on their holy PC's, I was in trouble ;-)). That way I tested more than 20 PC's and bought an Athlon K7-600 being around 32% faster than a Pentium II-500. Nowadays it's not that easy to boot a new Windows-XP machine with an old DOS and FractInt on a 1.44MB floppy-disk.. Bios Password Protection.. With the accordance of the vendors, all ok.. but first a virus detector has to be installed.. etc...
