My Outlook Express was set to send "Plain Text". In the sub-menu for text settings, "Mime" was set encode text using Base64. .......... Don't know what that single line of gibberish was, that appeared at the foot of my messages.
The gibberish is just part of the full email message that gets converted into something else by the email client. When your email comes into the List server, the standard four lines are added before it is distributed to the members. Your portion of the Body was encoded, but the added text about the Fractint mailing list is plain text, and that does strnage things when the decoder converts it to what it thought should be readable plain text. So basically, that strange line of characters: ¶Â¶)è¥Âx%ÂÃE§-Â{fj)fj|fÂÃ"¢w(Âm§ÿæj)fj|fÂÃ"¢w(Â÷ ¸§þf¢Âf§þX¦)ã÷ëiÃbnt== is in reality nothing more than the following: Fractint mailing list Fractint@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fractint Sincerely, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html
