I noticed this thread late ... there is very old but effective software program by David K. Mason (a Fractint friend from way back in the Compuserve days) called "Dave's Targa Animator) that does exactly what this thread is requesting - take a series of GIFs from Fractint and creates an animation. Try a web search on Dave's Targa Animator. Version 3.0 is the latest. There are earlier DOS versions also. I see one link here: http://ftp.man.poznan.pl/pub/povray/utilities/dta/ I recall meeting Dave at a SIGGRAPH - a very talented and friendly guy. If anyone tries this, I suggest reporting back to the list. I probably covered this software in some of my books, probably Image Lab, some much time has gone by I'd have to check. Tim
