Hmm, maybe try VirtualBox with OpenDOS/DR-DOS/FreeDOS installed under it? My server has a Pentium 4 in it, but I've never tried DOS on it. XFractint works for me on Linux. On February 27, 2024 4:02:13 PM HST, alex dukay <alex.dukay@bell.net> wrote:
I really have no suggestions except that way back in the old days. (anyone remember the days of Compuserve) I had a machine with a Pentium 3 chip. Fractint ran really fast and I had no need for ‘dosbox’… I should have kept the old machine! Alex

Ricardo,
To get any help, you need to give folks much more information.
1. What OS and version (I think you told me Windows 11)? 2. What versions of DOSBox and Fractint? 3. How is DOSBox set up? 4. What hardware are you using for your PC? 5. What symptoms exactly are you seeing when you try to get Fractint to run?
There are probably more questions I haven't thought of. If any folks here are happily using Fractint on DOSBox under Windows, it would be great for them to chime in with any suggestions for Ricardo.

Hi! I'm trying yo use DOSBox Fractint last version as obtained from Tim Wegner, I can't make it run. One of the problem seems to be the 64-bit CPU. Does someone know a solution to this problem? Thanks.
