FOTD October 26, 2003 (Snake Tree)
Here is an improved version of the first entry in my collection of FOTD's. It was originally posted to the Fractal-Art mailing list on April 11, 1997.
Actually, this 'original' was posted on Sat, 12 Apr 1997 20:42:29 -0400 (EDT), and was a reply to several previous ongoing postings. The full email (including the Headers) may be found here: http://home.att.net/~Fractals_1/FotD_97-04-12.html
It is not the first fractal I ever posted to the F.A. list. That honor belongs to some forgotten image that I did not save because I had not yet realized how important the FOTD would become.
You first joined and introduced yourself on Sun, 2 Mar 1997 12:40:38 -0500 (EST), that email in full is at: http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/Jim_Muth.html Your first formula was posted on Wed, 26 Mar 1997 19:35:32 -0500 (EST). But you did not post a parameter file until Fri, 4 Apr 1997 21:23:17 -0500 (EST). Both emails being replys to other discussions. Here is that first image that shows up in the F-A List: tajmahal { reset=1950 type=formula formulafile=jim.frm formulaname=ObliqueMand passes=t center-mag=-5.55112e-016/0.156576/1.893939 params=-1.25/0/0/0.15 float=y maxiter=4000 bailout=100 inside=0 logmap=yes symmetry=yaxis periodicity=10 colors=000E8c<4>95c<16>dXo<34>DTVDTVESU<45>tA5<13>PghNijMhi<14>\ ATV<7>lCi<3>cKm6YN<12>7XA7XA8W99W9<49>vR7vR7wS9<36>wZo } Sincerely, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/
