Damien! So really great to hear from you! I hope all is well! Damien wrote:
You said you have a Galaxy S3, which I believe comes with the Swype keyboard. You should be able to swipe from the Swype button to its adjacent SYM button and get a full set of cursor control buttons. This is how it works on my first-gen Galaxy S phone. Not as convenient, but on a phone, I've been reluctant to give up Swype for a different keyboard.
I gave up the Swype keyboard that came with my phone for the Swift keyboard (paid), which works great for me. It has terrific anticipation of words. It all depends on how well you type. But the Swift keyboard doesn't seem to have the special keys Fractint needs. I wasn't aware Swype would work, I will try, it's still on my phone. Not that is that hard to switch to the Hacker's keyboard when I experiment with Fractint. That's all it is- experimenting, I'm just curious. Running Fractint on the phone will never be that practical.
You can indeed get a Bluetooth keyboard, although they're a shade more practical on a tablet than a phone. (Fractal generation on a tablet... yummy.) Bluetooth keyboards intended for use with Android will come with home, back, search, and menu buttons, which are helpful.
Once again, I'm just curious. I have seen full-size keyboards and small ones, I might just try. Tim
