When I get some time and energy I'll convert one of mylder boxes to a DOs only machine. Does DR-DOS or OpenDOS have enough networking capability to "see" a peeer to peer Windows Network?
I have DR-DOS here, it includes Netware support. I think it even includes Netware Lite, which is (or was) Novell's Netware-derived peer networking. I don't know if it can connect to a Windows peer network. I have OpenDOS 7.04 here, have never tried to use any networking capability with it, so don't know if it has any. I suspect that using the freeware Bootable utility, one could make an OS/2 system that included peer networking and DOS support. Better still, get a good Linux distro (Knoppix is an interesting one, it boots off the CD and runs in a RAM disk, leaving your hard drive untouched) and run XFractint. David gnome@hawaii.rr.com
