. someone say: What causes the slow stepping of the color map shifts? - the sudden rapid shifts? As you know, if you use logpallette=2, and zoom in, the colors cycle thru the map from beginning to end. If you look at the map for the original FOTD ( a rather good map, I saved it for future use (HOW does he get these?...)) you can see some slow areas and some fast. That's how it happens, I do not "do" it. .
