FOTD -- July 24, 2014 (Rating A-7,M-6) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: After studying today's image for a few seconds, I decided that it appears to be filled with pillows. Maybe it is, maybe not, but whatever, I named it "Soft Landing". The generating expression mixes 0.125 part of Z^(-2.5) with Z^2 before adding (1/C) on each iteration. This combination produces an oversized Mandeloid that resembles nothing as much as a kidney bean or a peanut, with the East Valley on the west side and the small, almost invisible main spike pointing east. Today's scene lies on the north shore line of the 'east' valley. The art rates a 7. After all, I did put some extra effort into the coloring. The math rates only a 6.
