FOTD -- December 07, 2009 (Rating 5) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: The parent of today's image arose when I calculated the formula Z^(1.8)+C at a level of 27.5 turns up the logarithmic hyper- spiral. This parent is shaped somewhat like an ant taking a bow toward the southwest. The ant has a drop of . . . let's call it honeydew . . . clinging to its tail end. Today's scene is located in a valley in this drop of honeydew, which of course is actually a rather large minibrot. I named the image "Caught in the Act", leaving it to the viewer to decide the exact nature of 'the act'. And then I rated the whole thing at a rating of a perfectly average 5. There have simply been too many similar images in the past to rate today's any higher. The calculation time of under 5 minutes could bring stress to fractalists with restless legs, so to avoid 'R.L.S.' The sunny weather here at Fractal Central on Sunday was spoiled by brisk winds and a temperature that never rose above 34F 1C. The fractal cats ignored the outside conditions and concentrated instead on finding good sleeping places. My day was average.
