According to the blogger support forum,blogger has been known to convert gifs to pngs.  Not only that at least two gifs of mine have been resized. I've checked my uploaded gifs and see some but not all have been converted. I can see no pattern to their behaviour regarding what is converted and what is resized.This is disheartening since the main reason I started my blog was to provide a source of completed fractals in gif form with Fractint readable parameter information like Jim Muth's postings. Until the bloggers of the world rise up and overthrow the file format tyrants I'll just have to  put up with it and be extra meticulous when posting par and frm information to the mailing list. A possible long term solution might be photo hosting service like Flickr.
           I choose today's fractal because the pattern is irregular-the fusion of randomness and structure,
the chaotic nature of the fractal.
