. The pentagon-heptagon FOTD is one of the most interesting and unique images I've seen in a long time. If you back out you see a triangle and then a couple squares - else all the polygons are odd numbered, and they increase in number of sides forever untill a circle is approximated. The "black hole" in the center appears to be like the "peanuts" seen in The Canyon (REAL= -0.75, IMAG=0). in that there is no minibrot or lake structure there, the black just shrinks if you up the iterations. I think it is an infinite tunnel, but the render times start getting rediculous. Same with FOTD Jan 24. The parent fractal is awesome - has the form of a normal Mandelbrot but looks weird at the boundary. Animation sequence is in progress - looking way cool so far.
