I am having a bit of trouble adjusting xfractint's color selection. Can anyone offer some pointers and/or a link to a decent tutorial? Xfractint's built-in help is mystifying to me...
A few items you might wish to know and start off with: 1. Run the following from your Command Line: FractInt.exe makedoc This will produce a full document (over 200 pages) with much more detail about the program. 2. Download the following to have a fairly complete collection of .FRM (formula) files for use within FractInt: http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/OrgForm.html 3. Establish your own SSTOOLS.INI file that allows you to tailor the execution and location of things related to FractInt. (An example file may be found at the following: http://www.nahee.com/Fractals/FractInt/sstools.ini ) As to colors, there are a ton of .MAP files available for downloading all over the Internet. Or create your own with one or more of the following programs: "Make Map" by Ronald E. Barnett http://www.hiddendimension.com/ "FIntMap" by Raymond Filiatreault http://www.nahee.com/Software/ "MapMaker" by Jack A. Orman http://spanky.triumf.ca/pub/fractals/programs/IBMPC/UTILS/MAPMAKER.ZIP "Automatic Fractal MAP Generator" (AFMP) by Paolo Guagliumi http://members.tripod.com/softwork/map/ http://softwork.webjump.com/ Sincerely, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/
