And here's a link to my renderings of Albrecht's three MIDI files - Contemplation, Contrapoints, and Homecoming: http://clanjones.org/david/albrecht/ Enjoy! And thank you, Albrecht, for your music! On 11/01/2017 05:23 PM, Harold Lane wrote:
After "a lot of experimenting," Albrecht has written a new Fractal Rhythm scheme and produced new fractal music, whose title is: "Homecoming".

I put Albrecht's IFS image and MIDI format music file on my server.
For the IFS fractal, I arbitrarily chose 350 iterations and the rotated Froth3.map color map shown in the screencap below:
I squeezed the incorrect aspect ratio image from Fractint for Windows beta 5 (not for general distribution; renamed Iterated Dynamics) with a graphics app to make it square.
I like the way the "squares" are ever-so-slightly tilted, so that they: - leave slivers of empty space *and* - overlap a sliver of the adjacent square on all size scales:

Here's his 82 KB MIDI file: http://tinyurl.com/Homecoming-MID or: http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/Albrecht/Music/2017-11-01_Homecoming.MID
As Albrecht's comment:
- "Sometimes you walk, sometimes you take a slow path and dream, sometimes you run."
implies, his nicely-counterpointed music sometimes strides along, sometimes meanders, but, always moves forward -- towards home.
