Ricardo:
I think that you have just described to me Windows based graphics viewers!
Are you saying that these programs also work in DOS? Since when?
I was asking for a DOS (NOT WINDOWS) DOSSHELL, or XTREE, or Norton Commander type file management utility that has graphics *.gif file viewing capability
Please allow me to repeat myself one more time just in case you still didn't understand me yet.
I want a DOS file manager like Xtree or Norton Commander that has Gif file viewing capability.
Got it?
TIA

Yes. There are GWS (Graphic Workshop System), GDS (Graphic Display System), QUIKVIEW, and some others, all supporting GIF and even (QUIKVIEW) animated GIF. I did not use much these, however. But please tell me something, Tony: why do you want another GIF viewer having Fractint? You know, to see other types of GIF I mainly used Fractint in the past. It has some drawbacks, but I coped with them. Regards. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tony Parker <tgparker@worldnet.att.net> To: <fractint@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 30, 2002 10:51 PM Subject: [Fractint] Navigating & Cruising Dos With Fractint
Hi Gang:
Ok! Here I am navigating DOS using Fractint. I don't want to be swithing in and out of Win98 just to edit and handle my files.
Is there a good Dosshell type program like Xtree that has dos file mangement features, text editing, as well as *.GIF file viewing capability?
Anyone remember Norton Commander? Does anyone remembr if it had *.GIF image file viewing capability
Xtree has *.bmp image viewing but doesn't support *.gif viewing. Any suggestions?
All the Best
Tony
