I am still undecided whether fractals should be considered art at all. I am also undecided whether the present-day images should be considered fractals or computer art. Whatever they are, the images certainly are great things to chat about. But a work of art is a recording of human emotion, rendered in such a way that those of similar psychological make-up, by experiencing the work of art, can feel some measure of the emotions the artist felt while creating the art.
<unsnip> I'd suggest that it is unnecessary for the viewer to "feel" the artists' emotion at all... merely that it evokes an emotional response in the viewer is sufficient. And if "four out of five viewers agree"... then it is great are. Photographers are like fractal hunters... they look for just the right place and time to 'be' in the position to capture their are. Some say they are not artists at all. those who believe that can go "take a hike" with their Kodak 'Fun Saver' cameras and try to be Ansel Adams. Good luck !!! H^) harry <resume lurk>
