Albrecht has an all-new fractal music composition, TaikoTrance. Links are below. Albrecht says: "I tried to create the sound (or what I think it is) of a Japanese TaikoShow. The scale is Hirajoshi, the instruments Taiko only, playing in groups from 1 to 3, and the rhythm - never heard before - judge [for] yourself..... The image and the IFS (Sierpinski) the same again. "The Hirajoshi scale is a spacious Pentatonic (five-note) scale that evokes images of Japan." Here's a link to a screencap of TaikoShow drumming: http://tinyurl.com/Screencap-of-Taiko-Drums or: www.emarketingiseasy.com/Albrecht/Music/2017-11-07-Screencap-of-Taiko-Drums. jpg The screencap was taken from this TaikoShow video: http://tinyurl.com/TaikoShow-video or: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeLgSZssMJM&feature=youtu.be Albrecht's piece has an energetic start, and the shifting rhythms provide occasional syncopation and anticipation of the beat which I find very pleasurable. As the piece progresses it appears more "laid back." The tones of the drums are very pleasing to me -- compared to the simple thumping of a bass drum. - Hal Lane ######################## # hallane@earthlink.net ######################## --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
