FOTD -- February 04, 2010 (Rating 5) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: NEW FORMULA VERSION ALERT! Today's formula is the final version of the DivideBrot series. The only change is that the variable escape radius now works. I'm still feeling a bit down, but the fractals keep coming, even if they are not quite up to the FOTD standards. When I heard on the news today that the plan to return men to the moon has been officially killed, it helped not at all. Its death was a fore- gone conclusion. As for today's fractal, it's an average one that rates a 5. I named it "Bubbles in the Air". The name partly refers to the effect of green froth in the image and also to the death of the space program, which has vanished like a soap bubble. I'm not sure the image is worth the 6-2/3 minutes it takes to calculate. But that time may be cut drastically by viewing the pre-calculated image on the FOTD web site at: <http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/FotD/FotD.html> 2cm, 0.8 inch of snow fell Tuesday night here at Fractal Cen- tral, but it vanished almost by magic when the sun appeared and the temperature reached 39F +4C Wednesday afternoon.
