Okay...uh... so I sent plain text in (which is my default), and somehow ended up replying to multipart/mixed in my own thread by default, that is for not reasserting plain text. Maybe I will figure out whether it is a feature of the list before I complain to Micro$oft.
First of all, the FractInt List does not usually alter text messages into Multipart Content. I send all of mine as text and that is how they are delivered from the List. Now there is a Subscription Option concerning "MIME or Plain Text Digests", which states: Your mail reader may or may not support MIME digests. In general MIME digests are preferred, but if you have a problem reading them, select plain text digests. But I do not believe that you are receiving nor replying to digest messages. Secondly, you might consider something other than Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.3138 (which appears to be the latest version of OE in WinXP SP2 and that it's fully patched). There are better email clients available, and several are FREE for download. And third, your Organization setting says: "For preventing obscene jestures in nudist colonies." You might wish to use the correct spelling of "gestures", even though most people will never see this Header data.
