The last audio fractal I uploaded, "Chaos City" <https://sites.google.com/site/audiofractals/mp3-files/chaos-city> , was a really chaotic tour of a chaotic town. No filters between raw chaos and your ears. All sorts of semi tones and other strange notes blended together creating what I think is a fairly good aural representation of a fractal calculation. Not necessarily pleasing, in a musical sense, but then, not all visual representations of a fractal calculation are considered pleasing, in an artistic sense. Many, regardless of musical or artistic merit, are interesting nonetheless. I think that appreciation of both is often an acquired taste. Today's audio fractal, "Peace and Love" <https://sites.google.com/site/audiofractals/mp3-files/peace-and-love-2018> , is a step in a quieter, more restrained direction. Fractint has several parameters with which the audio output can be modulated. I like to think of them as the audio equivalent of color controls like map files, etc. For "Peace and Love" <https://sites.google.com/site/audiofractals/mp3-files/peace-and-love-2018> I chose to use a mapping of the tones which allowed only "C"(1), "E"(5) and "G"(8) notes of the C Major scale to be played. I included two "pause"s in order to add a bit of rhythmic variation and let chaos do its work within the boundarys established. For the mp3 version of "Peace and Love" <https://sites.google.com/site/audiofractals/mp3-files/peace-and-love-2018> I used the sounds produced by parameter "x" for one channel and those produced by parameter "y" for the other channel. In addition, I changed the sound parameters for attack decay and sustain to produce a more crisp tone from the "y" channel. If you run the included par file (at 1024x768x256 res please), especially if you can enable some effects, like Concert Hall, etc., you will get an absolutely relaxing monaural version, which, in some ways I still prefer to the uploaded .mp3 file. I know "Peace and Love" <https://sites.google.com/site/audiofractals/mp3-files/peace-and-love-2018> is a pretty corny title, but I do find that meditating on both while relaxing to the soothing sounds is hypnotically effective.
