If I take that particular option, the image shows up fine, but seems to start rendering more towards the lower half of the image, as if it is "growing" downwards. Eventually it stops, with the typical "beep" from the program indicating the image has finished rendering.
ah. that might be because at one time i was experimenting and saving pictures half rendered, the rendering process is quite fascinating in some fractals, i think i was playing with the idea of making that rendering process as an animation, didn't get very far in that project though. i deally you'd want something that stopped every so often in the rendering process automatically for such. anyway so maybe that image isn't so good then.dunno.
While in this video mode (either during rendering or afterwards) I can use the arrow keys to scroll up/down/left/right to view more of the image. But the image is now not quite the same as the original, since more was generated in the lower portion.
yes. you could make a note of the parameters, hit 't' which will bring you back to the original formula, insert the values again and watch the complete render from the beginning.
And if I try and save the parameters, I get the message saying it "Can't create" the PAR.
i have no idea how to create .par files or howto get them loaded into xfractint. hence the workaround.
But it is a nice image, and I like the growing effect.
yes, thank you, i had forgotten it's history :) sammi
