Hal, It is automatic, the same as happens with the mandel/julia and manzpower/julzpower types. It is possible to force the use of arbitrary precision math, but it realy slows the image generation. I have not yet worked on the routines for arbitrary precision. They are currently implemented with C code. Jonathan
Does DivideBrot5 automatically switch from floating point to arbitrary precision math when it determines that's needed, or do you need to specify that you want a certain number of digits when *you've* determined you need them?

Hal,
The DivideBrot5 fractal type is one of the few that has an arbitrary math implementation.

DivideBrot5 works great! -- I think I can feel the floor humming when it runs! It's fast, too!

Folks,
Added additional assembly language complex math routines. Now the DivideBrot5 fractal type produces an image.
Look in the directory: https://www.fractint.org/ftp/experimental/
For:
Windows version (32-bit) is:
SDL2-fractint-20.05alpha-2019-09-15.zip
Pre-compiled 64-bit Linux version is:
SDL2-Xfractint-20.05alpha-2019-09-15.tar.xz
