I appreciate the correction. Of course I knew you were instrumental in
getting the fractint lists set up with xmission, but all these years I was
under the impression xmission was providing a free service that you had
organized. So we owe that thanks to you also for paying for it as well as
the thanks for getting it set up!
I have an account at Dreamhost where I manage mailing lists for some other
organizations, as well as host the fractint web sites. I could host the
fractint and fractdev mailing lists there for no additional cost to me, but
this late in Fractint's life cycle, I don't think that's a good idea. And
while most aspects of moving the mailing lists would not be too hard, I
don't like to think about dealing with the archives! Not to mention that
the email address of the lists would change.
So as long as the current hosting of fractint and fractdev mailing lists by
xmission suits you, I think we should continue it. If you ever want to
change your support, just let me know,.
