Can't get it to work

I was using Fractint back in the late 80's. I Just tried to D/L a windows 7 version and unpacked it. I cant find a working exe file. I just get an error message saying it cannot open the file. It tells me it won't work in a 64bit environment. Help Dean

FOTD -- June 29, 2012 (Rating 7.5) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's image was created by subtracting 0.8 parts of Z^(1.25) from 30 parts of an unlikely Z^(0.001) then adding straight C on each iteration. Normally, such a combination would not be expected to do very much, and when I tried it, I expected nothing. But to my surprise a fractal did appear. (We're close to calculating 1-(Z^(1.25))+C on each iteration, so it really is not that surprising.) This parent fractal is shaped somewhat like a water bottle lying on its side, with its cap facing east and large fields of debris on the north and south sides of the enlongated main bay. Today's image lies in the debris on the south side of the main bay. The rating of 7.5 would have been higher if I had put more effort into the coloring. The name "At Cross Purposes" looks like it has a hidden meaning. But like the names so many surrealist artists give their works, it is nothing more than a string of random words. The calculation time of 50 seconds will pass very quickly, but don't forget the FOTD web sites. Enjoy life to the fullest. New installation, new commer in the mathematical univers of fractal he/she been calculated on the jim side. I envy sometime Jim work in the way that he put lot's of energy structurized up is debris side. Cause of the xbox or simply has a madder of fact, anyway jim debris's are usually full of mathematical wonder. On my cased when i applied this theoreme i got lot's of swirl phenomenon, who probably mean, WORK WORK AND WORK kid, i have to fight against deep desire of bordome lazyness and mathematical observation. Guess this huge administration system is just the reactive to a thotic hell (thot the god of science). and this will be maintain until we all get insane!!!... deep creep. Thot hell is a reactive to the definition of life applied on nature power, it far from being a xbox, since flower outside give me a buzz no wonder why we all climb out so far. On this forum i felt lot's of different energy, mainly i felt being a disturber! since Jim got a fix 7 here come a 1 to raise the feeling a little. strob please! I live now in a fractal cell speaking to you thru a free library internet service, thank's bill gate for one thing and it far from being intuitive usage feel retro .... Since i fixup a internet link home be client@!library for the summer i will maintain low communication level considering my reaction and my transes to be natural i will parse the way i fell. FOTD -- June 28, 2012 (Rating 8) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Sometimes the parent fractal of an image is as interesting as the image itself. The parent of today's image is one of these. It vaguely resembles a Mandelbrot set, but one unlike any Mandelbrot set I have ever seen. To begin, it is rotated 180 degrees, so that its west side faces east. The main bay is there, as well as the surrounding buds and the large X-axis bud, but don't bother searching for a main spike or an East Valley. The large bud has a nearly flat outer edge, with not even a hint of a spike, and instead of an East Valley we have an entirely new series of mostly chaotic bays and valleys. Several large filament complexes extend outward from this East Valley chaos, with today's scene sitting very near the extremity of the northwestern complex. The image itself features a spiral with a complex. Instead of the expected relatively smooth converging arms, we have a zigzagging mass of converging filaments. I named the image "Confused Spiral" because of these filaments, which can't quite decide which way to go. The rating of an 8 indicates that the image is well worth the 45 seconds required to calculate it. And even this brief calculation may be avoided by viewing the image on one of the web sites.
