Tim, Have you had a chance to compile Fractint under XP? I just got my laptop setup to use XP and the complile works but I have to manually copy the helpdefs.h file to the correct directory since the move command does not work in a batch file. It (move) works fine on the command line. I also had trouble compiling initially, but that turned out to be a problem with the path variable. Have you made any progress with the docs? Jonathan

I haven't tried. Using which compiler? Have you installed the old Microsoft compiler on XP?

I'm not happy with what I did with the credit screen, am revisiting. Tim

Yes, I'm still using the old MS compiler. I did get a book on wxWidgets, which comes with a couple of other compilers, so I may be looking at them one of these days. Part of the reason for the switch in OS is to be able to use the SDK. Unfortunately, I don't have enough disk space to install it. Jonathan

I'll try to install the old Microsoft compiler on XP. I vaguely remember that it is possible to copy the floppy disks to another media and install that way, but I don't know what the nbaming convention is. We're using WxWidgets at work and like it a lot. Tim
