I've been following this. It doesn't look like the processes of opening Watcom was ever fully completed, but the compiler does seem to be freely downloadable. With Paul de Leeuw's approach of using the Win32 API, there will be a number of possible free compilers for the windows version. Borland is another. DJGpp can even be made to work with Windows, I believe. Tim

DJGPP is very Dos-centric, I think. For Win targets, you have - Cygmin http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/ - Mingw http://www.mingw.org/ Thierry.
