Hi: I am not sure whether you attempted to compile xfractint with the PDCurses/XCurses library rather than with ncurses (XCurses is a XWindow replacement for ncurses, which allows to get a native X application without changing the curses source code). PDCurses-2.8 has just been released. It turns out that xfractint-20.04p04 compiles OK and even runs almost OK when linked with XCurses-2.8 ; I only noticed keyboard focus problems that would probably require only a few minor tweaks. In this way, xfractint X integration could probably be substantially improved (without having to rework much of the code, or having to usemore advanced X toolkits). Best regards, Jean-Pierre Demailly

Thanks. We'd like to capture this if you'd care to send it to one of us, and if you have an idea where to look for the focus problems, let us know. Tim
