On another subject, what is the problem re Fractint and XP?
Not having tried it, my guess would be that since it's based on NT it doesn't have suitable video drivers. And, there is some question about DOS compatibility of XP. I don't recall what this means, but it sounded to me like it means Fractint won't ever work in its present form. Jonathan

From what I've read about XP, Microsoft has gone to great lengths to hide or remove DOS from XP. Bill G. doesn't want anyone using DOS any more. As far as he's concerned, DOS is dead! Heck - they've even eliminated support for Windows 95 now. .Net is what they're all about, now. (Well, that and squeezing as much money out of everyone that they can...)
