Tim, A comment has been made on the Fractint wish list that the formula parsers sqrt and asin functions don't seem to work properly. Do you recall how we tested these functions? Jonathan

Mostly by checking the code against the correct formula, and checking the fast parser against the C code. I searched for asin and saw one 1999 message. Is that the one? Robin, you really need to clean up the bug list :-) Also, might be good to post an explanation that Fractint doesn't have drivers, so it is useless to ask us to send one. Tim
No, it's the one at the top of the wish list.
Help, I don't see it, I wonder why. The top few messages are: Mary Cahill in MS/DOS at 12:23:6 Thursday January 3 2002 Am operating with Windows 95 and Pentium 200. I am a real novice with respect to computer usage but am fascinated by fractals - patience please. I have tried to download Fractint but then get the message that "Powerpoint is unable to open this application". Am I missing something? I would really appreciate some simple advice. On the other hand what's the point of showdot in disk video. Thought I'd pass it along, that program quirk nuked a couple of batch files :-)
