Also, for anyone else out there that wants to compile the branch; it should compile just fine with the Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition that is available for free download from Microsoft's site. You won't be able to build the deployment project, but you should be able to build the code and an EXE, although I haven't tried it with the express edition yet. It will convert the solution and project file to 2005 format and then it should just work. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/download/index.html> Legalize Adulthood! <http://blogs.xmission.com/legalize/>

Well, does that not depend on having access to the CVS for acquiring the "branch". To my knowledge, that has been limited to very few people. Sincerely, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/

I assume so, but I don't control the CVS access so I don't know who else is out there listening that might like to try compiling it :-). -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/download/index.html> Legalize Adulthood! <http://blogs.xmission.com/legalize/>

The last time I looked at the membership for this list, there were: 38 Non-digested Members 5 Digested Members Which means it probably is still around 40 at present. But I believe there are only four or five people that have access to the CVS. Now if somebody wishes to copy the necessary files up to one of the paths on the http://www.fractint.org/ftp/ site, then that sure would be nice. :-) Sincerely, P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/

When I think its useful for other people to act as alpha testers, that will happen :-). -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/download/index.html> Legalize Adulthood! <http://blogs.xmission.com/legalize/>

And I was beginning to worry that the elitist attitude was starting to wane. You have renewed my faith that it still exists, and is as strong as ever. ;-} P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/

Well, if you have access to CVS, you can compile it right now. However, that won't be very useful unless you feel like debugging it and doing my work for me! And if that is really the case, I'll send you a ZIP file to debug for me. However, there is a certain phrase in software "9 women cannot have a baby in one month". Until I at least have the disk video driver working, I don't see what good its going to do anyone else to have the source code, unless its just curiosity. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/download/index.html> Legalize Adulthood! <http://blogs.xmission.com/legalize/>
