Re: [Fractdev] [Fractint] Update to SDL version
David,
What would be the correct aspect ratio for 1920x1080? 0.56?
Define correct. Do we want square pixels? Yes. Like they look on my other Linux graphics apps and such.
I'll have a look at it.
I see that the <DEL> screen isn't finding the current video mode like it should. I'll have to back out changes to see what happened. Well, I just tried it from my new-default 1920x1080 screen. Del found the list of video modes. I picked SF6 (800x600) and got an 800x600 fractal in the lower left corner of my 1920x1080 window. It seemed to find all the modes.
I would assume that your 1920x1080 is actually full screen. A full screen video mode will not behave as expected (like DOS Fractint) when a new video size is selected using <DEL>. I had tried to implement it, but was having trouble determining the causes of the problems we were (and still are) having with the different video modes, so I took it out. Once switching normal window sizes works, I will work on getting <DEL> to work when the image is full screen. OTOH, we could have the <DEL> selection reduce the window size to be not full screen. Any preferences? Jonathan
I no longer want to receive these emails.
