Are the older versions of the fractint source archived somewhere? I'm looking for something that I can compile to the GBA, which uses an ARM processor with no floating-point in HW. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline"-- code samples, sample chapter, FAQ: <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/> Pilgrimage: Utah's annual demoparty <http://pilgrimage.scene.org>

Which version are you looking for?? You want to go back to something around 1992, such as ver.17.2?? Or older?? P.N.L. ------------------------------------------------- http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/PNL_Fractals.html http://www.Nahee.com/Fractals/

Something relatively old, I imagine. What's the first release with floating-point? -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline"-- code samples, sample chapter, FAQ: <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/> Pilgrimage: Utah's annual demoparty <http://pilgrimage.scene.org>

I've got every version with very few (if any) gaps. However, I'm not sure than earlier versions will be more portable than more recent ones, probably the opposite. I'm about to take off for a week for Thanksgiving, remind me about this when I get back if you are still interested. Tim

I'll take a look at compiling something more recent then. Hell, I might as well work off that driver fork code that I have lying around. I just thought it might be easier to start with an old version that was smaller and less featureful. There is a limit to the ROM size that the GBA can swallow, but its pretty large compared to fractint probably. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline"-- code samples, sample chapter, FAQ: <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/> Pilgrimage: Utah's annual demoparty <http://pilgrimage.scene.org>
