Is there a fractal Generator out there for Macs?
This would not be James Stapleton that used to have tomkat@psnw.com as an email address, would it?? As for your answer, there are many for the MAC: FracPPC & Fractal Domains http://www.fractaldomains.com/ SpanfFract http://home.cinci.rr.com/fractalman/Programs/ other MAC programs: http://www.arosmagic.com/Fractals/ http://www.lor-thil.dircon.co.uk/ http://hypertextbook.com/chaos/92.shtml http://spanky.triumf.ca/pub/fractals/programs/MAC/ http://archives.math.utk.edu/software/mac/fractals/ http://radagast.org/~dplatt/mac/ http://www.swin.edu.au/astronomy/pbourke/ http://66.39.71.195/Software/MAC/ Sincerely, P.N.L. -------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.fractalus.com/cgi-bin/theway?ring=fractals&id=43&go
Paul and all, I was going through the SPAM from non-members, and saw the message from tktomkat@hotmail.com was on topic, so posted it. He is not a list member, so any answer should be cc'ed to him directly. Hmm, I guess when I do that I could add some words to the message. It occurs to me that Xfractint can probably be compiled for Mac without a WHOLE lot of trouble, since OS/X is BSD underneath. Tim

Thought this was the case, but did not bother verifying it with the User List, so replied with Cc'ed address anyway. And it would be nice if an accompanying note about non-members were included. :-)

This sure would please a few hundred people that have flooded the Wish List with requests for a MAC port. Sincerely, P.N.L. -------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.fractalus.com/cgi-bin/theway?ring=fractals&id=43&go

Hmm, I'm considering getting my wife an ibook for Christmas. I'm sure she won't mind if I take it to Illinois for a couple of weeks. ROFL Jonathan

You jest, but Apple is in my mind much more compelling now that it is a real Unix machine.
Only the part about taking it to Illinois. I can't afford a Beetle or PT Cruiser. Jonathan BTW, what ever happened to the monthly reminder of what our mailman password is? I tend to lose all my emails every six months or so. I did manage to find it in my Outlook Express email, so it isn't really a problem, I was just wondering. 8-))

I was just looking at the list configuration, and that option IS set. But you can alwaus go to mailman.xmission.com, navigate to the fractint or fractdev list pages, and have your password sent by hand. Has anyone been getting their list password reminders? Tim

I do not remember ever seeing a single one. But I have not really needed it. :-) P.N.L. -------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.fractalus.com/cgi-bin/theway?ring=fractals&id=43&go

I usually archive those kinds of emails when I get them, and the only one I have archived for fractdev is just the initial one welcoming me to the list, when it changed servers back in Dec '01. Scott Boyd
