15 day free trial cross reference tool let me generate some HTML reports [of the] fractint code
Great! The more windows into a body of code the easier it is to understand any given aspect of it. I just looked at the cross reference report and it is very comprehensive. It has links embedded in the reports that let you drill down and see code with just a couple of clicks. The code is line numbered so it would be easy to refer to a section of code in a discussion. And variables and function names in the code are links that let you go directly to a list of where a variable is defined, assigned, and referenced. A click lets you view the listed line of code in context. If there was ever a reason to have multiple monitors (displays) this application is it... Hey, I was scrounging around for a good cross reference tool and found one with a 15 day free trial that let me generate some HTML reports. So while this report is static and won't be updated as the fractint code is updated, its current for right now and will still be useful for some time into the future. Check it out.
