No, I accept bug reports from anywhere :-)
Plus, I copied the installation file to my software directory, where it has had around 2,000 individuals grab a copy so far.
Cool!
The problem is that there is no Text file, Help file, Dialog Window, or other such means of communication within the installation which lets people know what to do when they find an error or bug, or where to send that information to. It should be prominent either during the install process or upon each execution of the beta version.
I think I have a shortcut installed to the current bugs .txt file, but I will add something for reporting bugs/feedback in the next beta. Right now the code is undergoing massive restructuring in order to facilitate further development. Part of the "release" process is not just the executable, but making the code accessible to other contributors. In order to do that, there's lots of plumbing changes needed under the covers. -- "The Direct3D Graphics Pipeline" -- DirectX 9 draft available for download <http://www.xmission.com/~legalize/book/download/index.html> Legalize Adulthood! <http://blogs.xmission.com/legalize/>
