If you haven’t noticed, this week’s newsletter is a little late getting sent out.
I need a good excuse for the tardiness so I am going to borrow from Bronco when he was asked post game why the defense was struggling. He replied, “The system is phenomenal, but execution is lacking.”
I confess my execution is lacking because I stayed up late to watch an Inspector Lewis Masterpiece Theatre episode I hadn’t seen. It was great. Because I stayed up, I slept in and got a late start on writing the letter. As an ancillary excuse, it is a little hard to get excited about a football team that is on a three-game losing streak to toughies like Utah State, UCF and Nevada. Sleep is much more desirable than BYU’s current slump.
Unlike Bronco, I still can’t guarantee that this newsletter will be phenomenal, but you can rest assured that my execution will be improved going forward. I expect to execute the letter being sent out shortly.
