Writers @ Work Conference 2011 June 9-12, 2011 at Alta Lodge, Utah An intensive writing conference in a cool and historic mountain setting, a perfect place for writers, writer/teachers, editors, and agents to come together to share ideas, craft, and fine writing. A place to make new friends. Workshop Faculty of published and award-winning authors Novel: John Bennion, Brigham Young University Poetry: Lance Larsen, Brigham Young University Short Story: Kent Meyers, Black Hills State University, South Dakota Multigenre: David Kranes, University of Utah emeritus, Director of the Sundance Playwrights’ Lab Memoir: Abigail Thomas, The New School, New York Workshops, Panel, Consultations, and Readings Small, intensive workshops, limited to 16 participants, will meet from 9 a.m. to noon and from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Readings by faculty Thursday and Friday evenings, and a party Saturday night featuring columnist Robert Kirby. Consultations are offered in two categories Consultations are optional, for an additional charge, and are available only to conference registrants.
