Writers Brian Kubarycz and DeNorris Bradley will read from their work at the Salt Lake City Public Library on Wednesday January 12th at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. Brian Kubarycz writes and paints in Salt Lake City, where he teaches Intellectual Traditions for the Honors College at the University of Utah. His work appears in The Quarterly, Black Warrior Review, Unsaid, New York Tyrant and, most recently, NOÖ. DeNorris Bradley will be reading from his manuscripts, 'Cairo Morning Glory' and 'The Holler.' The poems take on the voices of, Women, ghosts, and the dispossessed. DeNorris grew up in North and South Carolina with paternal relatives strewn throughout the southern United States, and maternal relatives in the southern Caribbean, Haiti and Trinidad Tobago. He has lived in Salt Lake City for 18 years and earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Utah. The event is free and open to the public. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Zoo, Arts, and Parks, and audience donations. The featured reading will be followed by an open reading. Joel Long
