Writers Lynn Kilpatrick and KirstinScott will read from their works on Wednesday, January 9th at the Salt LakeCity Public Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. LynnKilpatrick’s essays have appeared in CreativeNonfiction, Brevity, Ninth Letter, and Ocean State Review. Hercollection of short stories, In the House, was published by FC2. Sheearned her PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Utah, and she teachesat Salt Lake Community College. Kirstin Scott is the author ofthe novel Motherlunge, which won theAWP Prize for the Novel and was a finalist for the Center for Fiction’s FirstNovel Prize, the Flaherty-Dunnan Prize. Hershort stories have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review,PANK, Sonora Review, Western Humanities Review, and elsewhere. Mostfeatured readings are followed by an open reading.
