Writers Paul Ketzle and Susan Howe will read from their work on February 1st at the Salt Lake City Public Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. Paul Ketzle holds a Ph.D. in Fiction from theUniversity of Utah. He is the former managing editor of Western Humanities Review, where he has been a contributing editor. He teaches for the LEAP program and the English Department at the U. His fiction has appeared in Indiana Review and his nonfiction in Continuum, Utah Business Magazine and elsewhere. Susan Howe is a contributing editor of Tar River Poetry and served for eleven years as the poetry editor of Dialogue. Her own poems have appeared in such journals as The New Yorker, Poetry, The Southern Review, and Prairie Schooner. Her first collection of poetry, Stone Spirits, was published in 1997 and won the Charles Redd Center Publication Prize. It also received the Association for Mormon Letters award in poetry for 1998. She has just completed a second collection of poems with Florida poet Terri Witek, To Lie with a Landscape Most featured readings are followed by an open reading. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Catalyst, the Salt Lake City Public Library, Xmission, and the Zoo, Arts, and Park Fund.
